About to come up to 4 weeks of his potential 6-8 weeks injury. Has anyone seen or heard any updates through other media channels of whether or not we're likely to see him play, or at least come over for light skating/training?
Surely it's better to be with and getting to know the team if he is cleared to travel or indeed skate?

Not heard anything - hopefully he's coming over soon to meet the team and become part of the group.
Think he could add us some more grit and physicality.

From todays article…
"Mason is coming along well and we will try to get him in the next little bit, as well.
"He is a little way out of being game shape, and being able to take contact, but it will be a nice thing for us in a few weeks here."
He said the 28-year-old Canadian was expected into the camp mid-October.
As Mitchell is a winger, it will be very interesting to see when and where Fox gets him in.
Maybe he could play with Connolly and Dowd as Connolly can play center and Pitule was / is Mitchell's replacement, also undecided if Pitule stays as a spare or leaves for a full time spot elsewhere? I think he (Pitule) brings some stability down the middle for us and a bit more size, seems good on the PK and face-offs too.
I think by how Fox described him and our line-ups so far he could actually end up anywhere in the line-up, probably starting in the bottom 6 and then increasing his ice time with fitness and sharpness.
As he's another power forward he could be useful on a speedy skillful line to help create space and turnovers like McNally with the Czechs now, or, he could be part of a physical line, maybe with: Mitchell-Connolly-McNally or Mitchell-Allen-McNally and try to create a big bodied physical line going to really try and dominate teams.

I’m certainly looking forward to seeing where he might fit in line wise. IF he comes over, which I still have my unfounded doubts he will.
I guess if he does come over we’ll be scratching 2 imports a game if everyone is fit?
According to Westerdale in the Star, young Mr Mitchell is due into the country, fully fit, this coming weekend.
Excited to see him in the lineup, according to the article it sounds like 15th October against Devils would be a realistic first game for him, could maybe give him a game in the CC before that. Think he will bring some speed, physicality and goals hopefully!
