Now that we pretty much have a completed roster, what are people's thoughts. Whilst difficult to say just on paper of course.
Netminders: Like the 2 x import model. Natural competition for places and injury cover.
Defence: We look mobile and offensive, but I have concerns about how well we will defend as a unit. We don't appear to have that bulldozer clear the crease type player.
Forwards: A Couple of risks here with Connolly and Neumann, but if they pay off we have a strong forward lineup. McNally is an upgrade on toughness as is Mitchell by the sounds of things. If Connolly fires, we should be up there in the top goals department in the league.
Overall: Like that we are a younger squad and appear to be able to formulate a Plan B which I thought was missing last season.
Looking forward to the season starting and seeing how the teams gels.

I tend to agree with the above.
Netminders - I would have been concerned if it was Ostlund with an average looking backup, but now I feel confident we have a good tandem and if Ostlund doesn't shine, Greenfield will prove to be more than adequate.
Defence - I like the look of all 3 new additions, but particularly Nevalainen who I think will turn out to be one of the best in the league. We look very mobile and whilst we don't have the big beast at the back, I think Petgrave and Piche will offer a bit more than we had last season.
Forwards - I've mentioned it numerous times, but I do think there are quite a few risky signings, but if they come off we should have plenty of goals, depth and a bit more variety than we've had in recent seasons.
Top Goalscorer - Ciampini
Most Assists - Raska
Most PIMs - McNally
Finish = 2nd

I'm feeling positive about the line up. If we win a trophy brilliant, but, as long as I/we feel excited about going to a game and fully entertained by it, that will do for me.

I am optimistic.
Reduced age, more variety in style of forwards so look forward to hopefully changing to plan B when plan A isn't working.
We always have had a struggle down the middle in the Foxy years so interesting that we've gone with a couple of very young guys in Neumann and Raska, along with the Connolly signing. The first two guys really intrigue me, especially Neumann and may turn out to be inspired signings. Of course we have the potential ace in the hole in Whistle who I expect to break out even more.
I'm expecting goals from Ciampini and Allen, who sounds as if he will fill the Roy style stand in front of net and cause chaos and tip in a few goals.
Have a few concerns. Conns was slowing down, age and long time out with injury, can he come by a with a bang? We needed a McNally type player, not convinced he was an option I would go for but will see how goes. I like the look/cv of the three new d men and the two new import netties should go well.
But it'd all guesswork for now! Let's see what happens on the ice.

I've been looking around (a VERY normal thing to do in my spare time) and I have to say I am looking forward to see how Piché sizes up with his experience and (dare I say it) his form and numbers on paper
Is it bedtime yet

What do you make of the club tweet saying the Friday signing announcement details have changed?
Maybe two signings, A. Graham and a young D?

I like the look of the team on paper. Think the D could be much improved. Interested to see which lefty plays on the right?
Goalie tandom could be really strong, and forward group looks to have great balance.
Hoping a few if them hit the ground running early!

Personally, I think our Netties look better than the ageing Brust & Rok on paper, even though Rok had a pretty decent season for us I think we look stronger in that department.
Our Defence seems to lack a big stay at home D, but again I think we look stronger in defence, we look very mobile, Petgrave & Piche can play a defensive role if needed. Nevalainen looks very good and I think Petgrave will be ‘the’ or one of the best defence men in the league!
Forwards- loosing Vally is obviously a big loss, keeping Latal and swing guy Mosey were a must. In my opinion We’ve got plenty of goals throughout our forwards, hoping the gel fast. Also my opinion we’ve still got the best Brit winger in Dowdy. We’ve got Allen who plays a ‘Roy’ like role net front which we’ve missed since Roy left.. Our forwards aren’t as small this year which is a big plus for me, and really looking forward to Mcnally on the 4th line what a 4th line signing, hope him and Mitchell will stick up for the team so not getting pushed around like last couple seasons and also bring the energy we will be missing from losing one of my fave players Ebs…
Me personally, I’m looking forward to this season.
See you all in a couple weeks….
