Just to help with rumour control, the new scoreboard looks good. Just at boxing , graphics are really good.
Looking forward to seeing it.

Couple of things that purely from my point of view could do with improving……

1. Warm up music. I struggle with the current stuff. Bring back Thunderstruck, Spirit of the Radio, Eat the rich. Current stuff is too passive for me.

2. More videos for the new scoreboard. Love the 2 in the box ghostbusters one for example.

3. Intro needs to be shorter. Like Pretender but not fussed about the song before. Games are not starting until 10 mins after advertised. Imagine Premier League games doing that? I don’t think so.
The one where The Hulk rag dolls Loki backward and forward half a dozen times gets me every time.. I love that one.. I hope to see that a few more times this season Image

So after saying would be two signings announced this coming week, now looks to be only one definite. Wonder what circumstances have changed.

I can't help noticing he wears number #55 on a lot of the photos, where does that leave our Ostlund netminder rumour?

Still a possibility I would say. Do you honestly think we wouldn't sign two players because they commonly wear the same jersey number?

No not at all obviously... :arrg:

it was more an observation that the statement the player they had just signed (weeks ago) wears number 55! Yet by all accounts including Fox himself admitting the last signings had not been finalised (they can only be netminders now) and the t's needed crossing and the I's dotting etc.. so it wouldn't be probable that statement weeks ago referred to a netminder would it... Unless its all cobblers anyway, which is a distinct possibility coming from our social media team... :slaphead:

I'm pretty happy with the team recruited. Definitely have looked to get some younger players, a bit more variety in the forwards with some sounding as if they are able to play a plan B option to Foxy's typical stretch pass, skill and fast skating style. It is this that may help us when the heavy legs are setting in from January onwards. Hopefully see a real crash and bang third line for something different. I'm not sure we've yet got the physical, crease clearing d corps that we keep hoping for but the three new D guys look like decent players for sure.
Now it's the presumed two import netties. The number one could be the difference between first and fourth place because I don't think there will be much between the arena teams-and Devils.
Are we going to get a guy that can win us 3-4 games that we have no right to win? Let's hope so.

I tend to agree, I'm happy with the squad assembled, although as I mentioned previously I do think there are quite a few risky signings in the forwards.

If Fox's judgement is good and the forwards produce what he expects, I think we have a nice balance.

Whilst we may have lost the goals of Vallerand, I do think we have more scoring depth and this season it looks like we have a plan B with an ability to crash the net.

Defensively we look very mobile with all the new guys having been the top scoring defencemen on their team last year. I also get the impression that Piche and Petgrave play with an edge, although I fancy Nevalainen to be the star.

Biggest worry about the defence is their attacking instincts getting them caught out of position. This is where Fox's coaching comes into play and we'll get an idea how good he is.

I'll also be interested to see our special teams, because on paper they look like they should be very good.

The key signings are still to come. I agree with Paul, the number one netty could be the difference between 1st and 4th.

Regards

I wouldn't object.

Any basis to this (ie. He's started following us on Twitter) or just wishful thinking?
