Yeah our trophy record over the last 5-6 years has been pretty poor. I find it funny when the new imports are interviewed and they say they are coming here due to our winning culture/expectations and to win a championship.I want us to win the league again, to do that we need to be better, not equal to, the likes of Belfast, Cardiff and this year it seems Nottingham and the Clan.
This is the longest period I can remember that we have gone without winning the league (been going since the start)

Why is that funny though? Steelers do have a winning culture and the expectation is to win something every season. Of course it doesn't always happen, how can it ?paul johnston wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 11:21 amYeah our trophy record over the last 5-6 years has been pretty poor. It's funny because our recent history hasn't shown much success!! Hopes, not expectations, are high. Maybe thats the problem, too many come in and expect us to win easy.kgw wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 6:49 pmWhy is that funny though? Steelers twitter account states we will know the remaining 3 forwards on Wednesday, doesn’t say if all 3 are announced on Weds or if it’s 1 a day from tomorrow with the final one on Wednesday. Soon find out

McNally and Ciampini seem to be 2, heard rumours for the 'big' signing but let's wait and see, hopefully it's the star man we've been looking (and hoping) forBontSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 10:09 amAll 3 announced on Wednesday....

This ‘big’ signing that is rumoured could well be Ciampini. I know Bob was alluding in the star to a replacement for Vally to me this would be the player. I wouldn’t Expect anything other than McNally and another C but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for this being the big one. Connelly will no doubt be occupying that first line spot.
I could be and hope I’m wrong!

Well we were chasing Hammond according to the rumour pages at the same time as Ciampini rumours were also out, so I think we're announcing 2 first liners (one being Ciampini) and then McNally, still got my fingers crossed but I see your point regarding Connolly....time will tellHouse_of_Steel wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 1:36 pmThis ‘big’ signing that is rumoured could well be Ciampini.
