The importance of our Netminder

I feel we need a whole new tandem, obviously with Rok gone we need somebody to take his place and I don't think Barry is very reliable. He spent ages injured so we can't exactly entirely trust him to be on absolute top form, so we need a new netminder to take HIS place also. Those two in two way with Hull in the NIHL are not going to cut it because they are not full time. If they don't EXCLUSIVELY sign two new guys then I have absolutely no idea what Fox is playing at

I think the team is there or thereabouts with the new guys coming in, but serious questions will be asked if Fox manages to bring in 2 below par or late unproven keepers again!

I'm all for him coming in, in better shape and proving us all wrong. But it's a risk, one i can only hope pays off.

I can't really see a player with his record and ( a deserved past ego and status ) coming to sit on a bench all season. At the least he will want to share the duties, but for me that weakens our team as in my opinion his age is affecting his agility.

Couldn't agree more Brian. It didn't work last season, why should it work this season?

Personally I hope it's just a rumour, I must be a poor judge of body language as to me he looked very uninterested every time I saw him.

You're not the only one if that's the case! i did put on the rumours page that it felt like he didn't look arsed about being here. My post does come across that i'd have him back, but i don't want him back.
Just if he does, i do hope he comes in around 10-12kg lighter and actually plays like he's here to prove a point.
