The Panthers game is a rip off so I can see why a lot of people will stay away especially with the current economic situation.
I believe the Coventry game is £8 though which I think is decent value for money and the club should get credit for the pricing of that game.

Hard to get excited about Pre Season fixtures against league rivals. If it was foreign opposition or even some kind of domestic lower league opponents then I’d be going.

That will be officially our first game (Coventry) of the season, tickets all booked ready... The Nottingham game is just priced out of our budget...Christherover wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:43 amThe Panthers game is a rip off so I can see why a lot of people will stay away especially with the current economic situation.

I may get the live stream if they provide one

Same here. Don’t we play our own league teams enough as it is?SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 12:29 pmHard to get excited about Pre Season fixtures against league rivals. If it was foreign opposition or even some kind of domestic lower league opponents then I’d be going.

Unimaginative from the club IMO.

Think there must be an underlying read as nobody in the league is playing an outside team in pre-season, Cardiff & Belfast usually have some foreign sides.smbmetal wrote:Same here. I think the underlying reason is simply MONEY and cost of living at the moment, ie paying for a hotel etc for a foreign sideSteelerBlade wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 12:15 pmThink there must be an underlying read as nobody in the league is playing an outside team in pre-season, Cardiff & Belfast usually have some foreign sides.smbmetal wrote:Same here. Doesn't look like the full priced Panthers pre-season game tickets selling well yet. Maybe closer to game will be a rush for tickets or will people hold of because of cost?

Because those making the decisions in Steelers Towers are not reading the room... there simply isn't the money in peoples pockets anymore, not the normal everyday fan anyway. The time as long done when fans had disposable income burning a hole in their pockets.paul johnston wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:11 amDoesn't look like the full priced Panthers pre-season game tickets selling well yet. So choices are being made and A full price £21.50 meaningless expedition game is alway going to be see as a luxury most of can not afford, especially those fans that go as a family! Many of us are struggling to pay the fuel to get there never mind pay for the game!!
The £8 Coventry game the following Saturday was priced about right and it would not surprise me if that is very well attended..
