I’d agree and have been saying that for a while. Teams generally can’t live with our speed. So playing more physical is an effective way of trying to slow us down. Plus we don’t play with a physical edge so aren’t used to it. Surprised it’s taken teams this long to try it to be honest.jas wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 4:45 pmI would not be surprised if various teams use that style of play against us. I may well be their Plan B. If they cannot beat us with skill and speed, they might as well resort to the more physical/dirty side of the game. We may need to grit our teeth and stand firm. We can still get the wins though.Doom wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 7:30 amA good result for us last night with Cardiff dropping a point.
Cardiff supporters complaining about the refs, although as far as I can see both teams had equal powerplay opportunities.
It sounds like Guildford were quite dirty. I've noticed a bit more of that side of their game this season. I wonder if they'll try and stir things up a bit in the CC final.

Then there were 3.....although the race for the playoff places remains interesting.
I'd suggest we're in a slightly weaker position than we were last time, but still in a very good place, even with our tough run in.

So we can officially put Belfast's title defence to bed with a double header win against them at the weekend! I think a single regulation win would do it.smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 1:18 pmSo we can officially put Belfast's title defence to bed with a double header win against them at the weekend! We'd move on to 75 points and Belfast's maximum total would drop to 74 points.
