Game On

A home victory coming up for sure,,,,, after all the grandslam is still obtainable albeit in theory and dreamland lol ,,,,,but hopefully we can now go on a decent run or at least put on some decent entertaining hockey for fans and no issue with me if some younger/upcoming brits given more ice time, why not, the main silverware has gone

Pretty sure Storm will be more than up for this one.

If they win this one and their 2 games in hand, then we find ourselves in 5th.

A strong character team would come out with a statement performance and put Storm firmly in their place.

I'm afraid this team lacks any type of character and I fear another loss.

3-2 Storm.

Manchester will definitely be up for this given the standings - must admit I didn’t click they were this close.

However… I think with Dowd back, and despite having the best of reasons to be absent (congrats btw!!), I feel like he’ll be more than up for this too. Combined with first home game for Ritchie (who will be suitably warmed up and eager), I feel like this will give us momentum to carry us to the W.

But I do think the websites Greenfield shutout milestone is stretching it a bit…

I'm going along to play guess the lines.

Will Watling finally play his natural position as centre or will he be stuck out on the wing on the 3rd line?

We really need Watling and Ritchie up to speed if we want to challenge.

The battle for 4th is on.

I'd like to see Tansey back on D.

Scratch Southern or Dougherty if needs be.

I think we are a MUCH better when Tansey plays his correct position.

Agreed Tansey need to be in his natural role - basic play wise but I think he takes on more of a leadership role there too. There is a danger, if he’s playing temporary forward so continuously, of losing the match ready sharpness to play D again. It all starts to become too unfamiliar.

I know I’ve given him a rough ride (from the comfort of my armchair I know…), but with Dowd back, I think Watson gets Kelly’s Brit place and Tansey goes back on D. I would think it very bad for morale again if a guy who gets benched partway through the game still gets the nod and someone else on D gets a healthy scratch.

The rotation system feels a bit unfair at times to me. I would love to see Watson given a shot with Shudra, and the beginnings of a settled fourth line. Not sure who would centre - that’s a whole other debate

Starting goalie is a conundrum for me. It may seem strange on the back of two losses, but I would potentially give Greenfield the nod against Storm and give McAdam the bigger game against Cardiff this weekend.

We won’t be there tonight - I chose the Cardiff game as my poison this weekend lol - but good luck to the guys and fingers crossed for an emphatic bounce back. We sorely need it.

Finally I get my Juusola/Watling/Tait line.

Guaranteed -4 tonight now. :Smiled:
