Well that was the most inept gutless performance by a Steelers team ive seen in many a season. I can't explain how poor we were throughout the game! From the first minute to the last totally outplayed!
I think Greenfield will want 1 back but the rest he was just left out to dry by a weak, effortless, out of position defence men and forwards who just weren't up to the task!
Big decisions need to be made at our club because that's just not good enough! Loose to a top team yes! loose to a team playing better than you
Yes! but play without an inch of commitment and you don't deserve to play again for this club!
I was going to the Cardiff game on Sunday! but not now!!

Team has mentally gone home, a nothing game for them. Not sure they can switch back on for the playoffs on that evidence.

I'm glad I've not purchased my playoff ticket in advance.

Just like last year I might end up with a weekend in Nottingham without any hockey and save £100.

As far as I could see, Fox contributed very little. Just stood at the back of the bench looking forlorn. I’m sorry to say it but he has lost all credibility. There is a real crisis for the owner to sort out. Sadly he has not shown a great ability in appointing coaches. Where do we go from here.
I think Fox was probably the right man at the right time, but he's now been a long time out of Europe and now out of touch with the European scene.

Throw into the mix his obvious lack of knowledge of the North American Market and it's a disaster waiting to happen.

The problem is, it's easy to dismiss a coach on the Internet, but who replaces him?

Pretty sure when we signed Barrasso that we were told that there was plenty of job applications. Same for when we signed Fox.

Thing is we don’t have anyone who understands the hockey world. Tony is a brilliant owner, but is just a fan. Simms’ thinks he knows with his mate Paul Thompson, but the last time them two had any hockey current knowledge I was in nappies….I’m in my 40’s.

I think we need to split the GM and coach roles into two separate people. Bring in a GM that can advise about all things hockey and recruit a coach that has great contacts and can coach a proper Steelers style of play.

Easier said than done of course.

Game over....

Good riddance to this season.

My heart breaks for Jono Phillips, deserves better.
I agree to a degree but the on ice leadership seems to have been sadly lacking and he wears the C

I'm sat here not surprised at all. Never in a month of sundays thought we would win the league even when results were going our way up until Christmas. Will be the same next year unless big changes made behind the bench and on the ice.
I've been reminded over recent weeks why I thought mcnally was not a Steelers signing. All those who love his antics just don't understand hockey.

Agree.

Very detrimental to the team.
He's not the only one though.

I love a bit of the physical stuff. But I have to agree McNally does it at the wrong time. I do believe though under the right coach he could have been the right signing. Fox doesn’t know how to use him.

I asked about the GM role on here a while ago without an answer at the time. I'll ask again, is there a reason we don't have a GM? Have we ever had one? It seems to me it's an obvious solution to our recruitment issues - both head coach and players.
