Who do we go with as our 6th Brit? I’m guessing we will see Davey and Sam Jones in addition to the two already signed.

Do we bring back Shudra or wait to see if Alex Graham goes to Niagara or try and poach a Brit from another team?

6”3” Centreman John Armstrong is back for 20/21 after a season out the game.

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/1 ... -armstrong

The 33yr old is vastly experienced and has iced 205 EIHL games for Sheffield in his 3-and-a-bit seasons, winning the Playoffs & a Challenge Cup.

A 2nd round pick of the Calgary Flames, he’s iced 177 AHL games for the Quad City Flames & Abbotsford Heat.

He’s also played 147 times in the ECHL for the Utah Grizzlies, Kalamazoo Wings & Las Vegas Wranglers.

In Europe he’s iced in the Danish Metal Ligaen with the Odense Bulldogs.

In the Norwegian Eliteserien for Lillehammer.

And under Fox in the EBEL for Croatian side Medveščak Zagreb.

The remaining Brit Corp is going to be interesting. No Kirk, Graham potentially off, no Waller.
Would be amazed if no Davey and Sam Jones.

We’d need an extra U25 Brit from somewhere.

Underwhelmed by Armstrong's return as I agree we look weak in the centre. I think de Luca has to up his game too, particularly defensively. Very pleased though with the return of Eberle.

I personally think Armstrong is very underrated, it’s Connolly that worries me most and I’d hope he’d be the 3rd line man.

Great to see De Luca, Armstrong & Eberle back.

As for the Brit pack, I thought Sam Jones had signed a 2 year deal? I'll be stunned if Davy isnt back on the blue line.

Shudra, not good enough, he's living off his Dad's name, if his surname was different he wouldn't be here, the kid (imo) would struggle to make it into the EIHL all together - but it's all about opinions.

I personally think Cole could do a good job as a solid fourth line centre especially when looking at balancing a team budget. He's been a victim of being a not quite top notch skilled brit playing for a title chasing club, which often dropped down to three lines so frequently not getting ice time. When moved to other clubs has done pretty well. He also is fairly versatile so gets shifted including to D to cover for injuries which can be a plus but also results in him not establishing one main playing position.

By my reckoning we’re looking like this, lines are likely wrong.

Eberle - Connolly - Vallerand
DeLuca - Hodgman - Dowd
X - X - X
X - X - J. Phillips

X - X
Saxrud-Danielsen - X
X - X

X
Churchfield

Our top six hasn’t been a problem under Fox it has been the bottom six taking charge defensively that has been our biggest issue, along with a lack of size.
With Army re signing and I think I recall Fox saying he’s signing another new Centre how would we look then?

Could see Connolly move to LW.
