Deserved it for that one goal he made. Several other good candidates though. Balmas as usual and didn’t Whistle step up today?!

Whistle would have got it for me.

Think if you were a neutral you’d have enjoyed this game.

We certainly deserved the win for me. The team’s amazing never say die Steelers character certainly shon through!

Watling as also my MOM, however I also thought both Jones and Nevalainen had excellent games as well.

Just need Belfast and Cardiff to take lumps out of each other and the game to go into overtime.

It sounds like around 2,000 will be travelling down tomorrow, although I disagree with the comment on our website suggesting it's our largest travelling support ever.

Possibly it is in the EIHL era, but I rember our first final at the Nynex in Manchester and there were easily more than 2,000. I think the crowd was around 13,000 and we probably had around a third of that.

As for tomorrow, we're getting the 8:30 train down then heading over to Beeston to check-in to our lodgings.

Then it's back to Nottingham for a double helping of hockey.....excellent!

Off the topic of our semi final game I have to agree with Pete Russell.
The semi finals of a playoff weekend should not be decided on a 3 on 3 overtime. To me its a cheap option selling the teams competing and the fan bases watching short.
There is so much on the line for both teams, they deserve 5 on 5 full 20 minutes sudden death surely.
Just my opinion.

What a game that was yesterday. Thought Sauce was absolutely brilliant all game, as we're several others. Watling/Balmas/Ciampini line was absolutely buzzing - puck possession and clever passes all game.

1 final game - I really hope we've got enough and can find a way with Vally/Neumann being out. This team deserve it. There just aren't enough superlatives you can throw at them, especially given the tragedy that they've had to play through.

Leave it all out there and do it one last time.
