The play offs system is hit and miss. It shouldn't change any thinking that Smith has. From a quite promising position we have once again capitulated and that shouldn't be a situation to be allowed to continue.

As called at the end of Feb. Please Tony put Fox on a plane home. We will not win another trophy with him in charge.

His post game interview with Pete Spencer doesn't give the impression that he is going anywhere soon.

Then we end up with another Paul Thompson final season scenario where it's obvious they are not up to the job but the owner won't sack him and the brummie gobshite attacks everyone who criticises until the inevitable happens and that's another season down the drain.

Facts are clear , Fox has had the financial support and the time to prove he's the one for the job and has failed to produce, I quite like the guy and wish him well but in professional sport you either succeed or be sacked. Time to move on.

I prefer him to Thompson but his record is no better really. I think he gives honest press interviews and he does show his passion on the bench at times. We've been a nearly team.

I think he has recruited generally well but has lacked the ability to bring us in a couple of high scoring forwards and that is what I think we have really lacked this season. Goals have been a real problem for us. I think bringing Vallerand back was supposedly an easy solution but it soon became clear it was the wrong solution. (He's got character but is past his best.) If he'd found a scorer instead, our end of season may have been quite different.

I also think we have failed to show the character and edge of previous times and that along with goal scoring has been the difference between us and Cardiff/Belfast.

Has he got the ability to rectify the problems, bearing in mind that he's lost 2 natural player leaders in Phillips and Connolly as well? I don't know.

But what I do know is that if he is replaced, the new coach had better be an out and out winner, otherwise I fear us spiralling into a mid table team like Nottingham. I don't think any of us want that and I don't know how anyone can predict that a coach can produce the desired results.

I understand the frustration and the desire for better (I really do) but can see the conundrum Tony Smith has and don't envy it one bit.

To me it seems obvious the time has come for a change in leadership, how long do you let the same stale formula carry on, a problem i can see though is if tony is getting the crowds in as it is at the moment , then i suppose he would be reluctant to change that from a financial point of view

With Jonno leaving, and the Brit pack changing, it might be that Tony Smith wants some form of continuation from this season to next season.

For me, I'd like to see a change of coach. The recruitment is good enough but players don't seem to perform as well as predicted, whereas players with similar CVs joining Cardiff/Belfast somehow exceed expectations.

This is similar to when Christiansen was in charge and the players were "over-coached" with systems etc.

I think Fox's high intensity tactics works well up to Christmas, but then the squad suffers burnout and there seems to be no plan B.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Tony Smith cares more about making money than on ice success.

I’ve been slated consistently for saying it across social media platforms but more and more I’m proven right. Nothing will change until fans vote with their feet and wallets.

Goal scorers missing. Absolutely.
No character and edge. Absolutely.
Size and physicality missing. Absolutely.
Personally feel leadership was missing on ice.
The talk about Fox's high octane game-from early season onwards we barely saw it for more than 15-20 minutes per game!

The number one factor was goal scorers or lack of.

See yesterday's game. Look at the goal Cox scored, then the breakaway chance Latal had and missed.

Pre-season potential shortfall of goals/goal scorers was highlighted as an issue and it was proven correct in the end.
