35yr old Czech defenceman Josef Hrabal has departed for his hometown HC ZUBR Přerov of the 2nd tier Chance Liga.

He’s penned a deal until October 31st.

Hrabal joined us for his 2nd spell in the Elite Series where he iced all 16 games.

Personally I'd love to see Danny Taylor in a Steelers uniform but highly unlikely.

Yes please, would be a great signing.

Personally I'd love to see Danny Taylor in a Steelers uniform but highly unlikely.

Taylor, despite his age, still has seasons playing at a higher level making more £££ in him. Only thing that could get someone of his quality is a University deal I’d have thought.

I hope he's good at face-off's as it's not something we have been great at for a few years.

Hopefully a very good signing for us.

Dronfield native Alex Graham has just been drafted 105th overall by the Niagra Ice Dogs of the Ontario Hockey League in the Canadian Hockey League import draft.

He will join up with the Canadian club, so is a confirmed departure.

Hodgman looks a solid enough signing with plenty of top level experience.

He's obviously on the downward curve of his career, but should still do a decent job in our league.

I would be a little disappointed if Hodgman and Connolly are our 1st and 2nd line centres. Hopefully we've got another quality centre lined up.

I hope he's strong at faceoffs.

It's nice to be reading about signings again.....let's hope we are starting to get back to normal.
