That last paragraph sums it up really well. There are tiny margins in these top of the table games and poor passing, stick technique and taking a millisecond too long in controlling the puck costs you in the end , allowing defenders and goalies just enough time to deal with shots and passes.
Losing face offs has cost us dearly all season, particularly when we start a powerplay and of course in the Cup Semi v Panthers we lost the first overtime face off and never touched the puck til they scored !
