Three of his signings made during the summer. Not a good look for his recruitment this last off season.

Not sure about that.

Seitz has 1 goal and 5 assists for -2 in 10 games with Guildford. He's not exactly lighting it up, but based on last season he was a very understandable signing. He's just obviously struggling to replicate his play from last year.

Neilson seems to have acted out (been no rebuffing of the things Fox said in an interview which you'd do if they weren't true.

Pu, who knows but doesn't sound good.

No doubt there have been a few errors in judgement in some of the recruitment during the summer, although in some cases there may have been reasons for this (ie. Losing Whistle quite late on).

One thing is for certain, we really need to get the replacement for Pu right. There's a crucial two or three weeks coming up which could define our season.

To date I'd say we've had the easiest run of games out of all the teams likely to be competing for the title, but only find ourselves in 3rd place.

In the next few weeks it's about to get much tougher. Because of the points we've dropped against some of the weaker teams, we can't afford to drop too many against our main rivals. A bad couple of weeks against our main rivals and a title challenge will be looking a long way off.

It's probably wishful thinking at this time of year, but could Santa please bring us a faceoff winning centre capable of 1 point per game.

Regards

I think we know by now that this is not a grand slam winning team but having said that they are capable of being in the mix for the trophies . Other teams are losing a few daft games too and the xmas period often throws up who the real challengers are. A good consistent run now will put us well placed but we have little leeway left .
Let's hope we get a real flair marquee player instead of Pu but I don't envy Foxy in trying to find one at this point of a season. Tends to be that the only players available are not doing particularly well with their present clubs..
The possible alternative is players who are playing well but are not happy for any one of many reasons. They don't like their coach, or lodgings or speaking a non english language or the travelling in the KHL….etc etc.
Maybe we have players here now who have a good mate willing to join them a la Vallerand, Ciampini relationship.
Just speculating , it will be interesting to see what happens.
I do feel sorry for those who bought a Pu shirt though.Shirts aren't cheap.

Funny thing is brian they could be a grand slam winning team,,,, but only in respect that all the other teams are no better,, so could win nothing or all.... agree about replacement,,, maybe there is a top end player out there in a top league who as you say maybe is just not happy for one reason or another,,,,,the english speaking side of things can sometimes be a big attraction, or will we get just another average player to give us an extra body,,,,, not easy for fox this stage in season

🤦‍♂️My daughter really wanted one - so glad I waited and didn’t… I feel for anyone who has this under the Christmas tree right now - I don’t suppose the club will offer refunds. Hoping the latest rumours aren’t true.

I’m wondering as others, who exactly will be available at this point in the season - and whether either of the retirees could be suaded into donning the skates again for a half season? And if even they’d be a solution… Simpson potentially as a centre F perhaps… I guess it would all depend on circumstances of retirement etc.

As others have said - most likely to be an unsettled friend-of-a-friend at this point. Golod was a fairly late (although not this late as I remember) pick up last year, didn’t quite pan out in the end but does show there are quality type guys out there doing the rounds.

Fingers crossed.

Cheers
