I must admit, Seitz was one of the new signings I was very much looking forward to seeing play.

Unfortunately, like in many sports, sometimes things just don’t work out, despite best efforts. Sounds like the transfer was the best for both parties.

All the best Nick, hopefully you’ll not score against us :D

I think heard was the final nail in Seitz’ coffin. It’s not an easy leave to score in as a top player but just has Seitz was struggling, Heard came and showed how “easy” it is. I do t think it’s a coincidence that Seitz has gone quickly after that. Wish him the best at Guildford and will probably do well there

Just heard that Fife have signed Ex Boston Bruin Stanley cup winner and heavy weight Milan Lucic from my nephew who is a Bruins fan living in Canada.

No way!!! lol. That’s kind of crazy - good on Fife in one sense and the league to be able to attract someone of that calibre and status - kind of V annoying we couldn’t grab him tho… I’d understood he was trying to break back into the NHL tho for one last shot?

No one will be able to challenge that on any roster I’ve seen to date in our league.

Cheers

From Fife website:-
“The Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club can confirm the release of Slovenian forward Jaka Šturm.

The 26-year-old was advised of the decision on Friday and will depart the club following the 19th December.

With the positive news that Justin Ducharme is returning to on ice training and former NHLer David Booth will be arriving in the UK within two weeks, the club have taken the tough decision to release Šturm.”

Not sure I’ve heard of David Booth I must say - will have to look that one up!

Cheers

Just looked up David Booth who is 41 but he had a very good NHL career. Obviously he has experience to bring, so it’ll be interesting to see what he can still contribute.

Interesting stuff - will have to likewise look up.

Just seen also on the Lucic scenario that Fife COO stepped down - I must admit the whole Lucic controversy/fall from grace passed me by somehow, makes for very sad reading tbh. Let’s see what happens.
