Sorry to say I called it... I just saw it coming, you take a day off against teams fightingfor their EIHL life, position and points and your going to come unstuck. A measure of the man is what he does about it. Fox must know how poor we are at the moment and the lads will do too. 5 days to heal a few bodies and have a word or two with themselves...

Can't say I'm surprised, too many sub par performances and form from too many players. A lack of grit and character which is a major surprise after their efforts last year.
Fox must be very puzzled with what he's getting from the guys.

Both the powerplay and penalty kill have been poor all season. I think the last time I looked we were 8th in the league on both, which is very poor when you consider how good we were last year.

What has carried us through most of the season to date is our 5 on 5, especially in the 3rd period, but even that seems to have gone to pot now.

It's a real head scratcher, because we have the majority of last seasons squad, but for whatever reason they're all performing well below the standard they're capable of.

Clearly the CHL has hit us hard, but I don't see why that would impact on our pp or pk.

Do we have a lot of players playing injured and/or is it a confidence thing?

Obviously we're not privy to what goes on behind the scenes, but Fox and the team now have their first full hockey free week for some time, so hopefully they can regroup and come out flying next weekend.

We're now off the pace and can't afford any more weekends like this one. It's time to put a winning run together or we may as well concede the title.

They showed in the CHL the level they are capable of, I honestly think this is just injuries/playing with injuries leading to a loss of confidence.

Injuries are certainly a contributing factor but I also wonder about the psychological side of playing in the glitz and glamour of the CHL and then transferring to the mundane domestic fixtures, especially having lost key players. A lot of the players seem pretty disinterested now. There's a good chance that fatigue is also playing a big part. We've got an easier week now so I will be interested to see what next weekend brings.

Think Huhtamaa might want the first goal back.

Terrible drop pass from Vallerand leading to one of Fife’s goals and he’s been one of our better players I think this season.
