I think there's only Cardiff now who could still put pressure on us.

Belfast can only get 82 points and that's if they win all their games, which they won't.

Cardiff on the other hand can still get a very healthy 89 points and they're playing confident hockey right now.

I'm hoping Belfast can do us a favour tonight and give us a bit more breathing space.

Regards

Really pleased that the Panthers won tonight, both the team and their fans deserve that victory.

With Cardiff’s double in Belfast that pretty much ensures the end of their title challenge. Bet Keefe is fuming! A lot appears to have gone wrong in Belfast. They are still a threat for the playoffs though.

Belfast are toast, even if they win all their games they can only get 80 points which wouldn't be enough to finish ahead of Sheffield or Cardiff.

It's difficult to put a finger on exactly what's gone wrong in Belfast. I was always a bit doubtful about the quality of their defence, but they appeared to have good depth in their forwards with the likes of Tedesco, Nazarian and Preston. Of course I don't think anybody expected Besko to drop below 90%, either he's carrying an injury or age is starting to catch up with him.

Cardiff remain a serious threat to us though, they're on an excellent run of form and whilst we still have a large lead, we can't afford too many slip ups with 3 games still remaining between our two clubs. We should still win the title comfortably, especially the way we've been playing, but stranger things have happened.

I was pleased to see Nottingham get the win, although if they do put some form together I'd want to avoid them in the Playoff QF, because they do have some good players on their roster.

I'd want to avoid Nottingham in the QF as well, if only because on form/league position you would expect us to win and I'd rather have Nottingham play someone else and qualify for the playoff weekend so the players and fans get something out of this godawful season for them.
