Having just watched the 2nd episode I wonder what Simms’ problem is with Mosienko? I know he left under a little bit of a cloud, but for me he was one of my favourite EIHL era players. His work ethic was amazing. I remember Hotham losing his cool with Mosie’s tenacity.
Also the Finnerty story proves that if our number 1 goalie was out till the early hours the night before a game in Scotland, then the rumours of a beer league may not have been far off.

Simms problem is he can't see past his own ego. If the coach or players don't get on with him then they could be Wayne Gretzky and he still wouldn't acknowledge him. He likes the people that stroke his ego.smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 9:09 pmHaving just watched the 2nd episode I wonder what Simms’ problem is with Mosienko? I still can't get over the fact that in a best of Steelers during the EIHL era they have Woolhouse as the backup. Surely an import netminder would be better, and use the Brit place with a better quality out skater.
I agreed with their final 6 D men though.
I had Mosienko in my original lineup but in retrospect I would swap him for Dautiaume.
I also don't understand the massive love for Desi. He was good but nowhere near as good as some revere him. Well in my opinion anyway.
