Yes please, would be a fantastic signing.
Looks a very good third liner with the ability to move up or down the lines should the old injury bug bite, I’d say a Ben lake type player that can be used in any forward role.
I think that would be a tad optimistic, he had similar point output to Sam Herr when they were on the

If he signed I think he'd be top 6, although I'd be delighted if he was 3rd line. 😀

A good age, although those +/- in the Swedish 2nd tier would worry me a little.

Regards

Doom
I had the same thoughts Doom but took into account his numbers in the Slovakia league which is about our level as opposed to ICEHL/AllS that are slightly better than ours. Over a 52-54 game season in our league he would produce more no doubt👍

The logo is a tattoo on Vallerands body. He had it done along with 2 fans as part of the charity fundraiser in 2019/2020.

If you look on Vally's instagram "fundraiser" story, you see the design on a shirt.

Well let's hope its not Vallerand if that is the case, he did nothing when he came back last season. Yes he might be a fan favourite but we need to stop doing this as a club and bring in some fresh signings.
Valley of a few seasons ago maybe not on last seasons performances though.

It sounds like Vally, which would make me think it's going to be the same old same old with Fox.

We needed substantial change, not going back to ageing players who are on the decline.

Maybe Vally was injured/ill last season, but he isn't going to be improving at 34. This would feel like the re-signing of Connolly, which just didn't work.

I guess it depends on wages, if he comes back on 2nd/3rd line wages then maybe, but certainly not 1st line wages.

Just hope it's a blow of smoke to cover Yogan.. again that's my hope.

I'm with everyone above. I don't want Vally back unless he's playing 3rd line and what's the likelihood he's going to accept 3rd line wages?
If Vally signs and is expected to be top 6, then we're not heading in an upward trend to close the gap..

Totally agree with all above comments on Vally if it’s true we have re-signed him in a first line capacity once again we’ve got to ask why? Is his stock reduced due to last seasons declining numbers does that reflect in lower wages.

As Doom mentions above it’s a very similar situation to Connolly last season which many fans myself included weren’t happy about, his heart was there but the body failed him with the lack of goals a big issue this could be rinse and repeat.

I wouldn’t mind Vally returning. Coming in from the start of the season and having chemistry with the new line mates.

He came carrying an injury near the end of the season last year. Even though he’s 34, I think starting the year with us be a different story, we lacked proper goal scorers last year imo.

Hoping not top line though, Middle 6. If it is him I’m Prepared to eat my words if he doesn’t perform though. 😂

I’d be hoping if we have re-signed him that we get the Vally of the season prior to the last one slight difference in the Connolly scenario is an ACL injury is hard to come back from at any age let alone 36 years old. That would be the only glimmer of hope to his signing. Vally strikes me as a tenacious character he will give 100% every night if that results in top 3 scoring then I’ll be happy
