I have a son who has just turned 21. I can honestly say that if I lost him, I don’t know if I could ever recover.

I feel utterly shocked by this incredibly sad news.

Like so many others I was really looking forward to watching Alex play as a full time Steeler next season and develop into what I believed would be one of our legends.

To have it all snatched away from him at such a young age is heartbreaking. I really can't understand what his family and friends must be going through right now, but my thoughts and prayers are with them.

Steelers management… may I respectfully ask if a book of condolence could be set up at the Arena or Ice Sheffield? I’m sure lots of supporters might like to write a few words over the next few weeks remembering Alex and to pass personal condolences to his family.
