Sorry I missed the testimonial!
Dowdy has been brilliant throughout his career in Sheffield and I still think he has a few years left to continue and impart his undoubted skills
on the Arena ice for the Steelers and for GB. .
Well done to you Robert Dowd!

It was a great night and quite a few of the shirts were raffled. The teal legends shirts were auctioned and the rest of the shirts had been sponsored and were given to the people that sponsored them. The sponsored shirts were £150 for the GB version and the rest were on offer for £200. I understand that the sponsored shirts had their sponsors names on them too. I would think all money raised for the whole testimonial games would go to Rob Dowd as the club didn't organise anything. It was all done by Rob, his wife and his committee (SSSC) From memory, the shirts were made by Warrior, not Rhino.

Despite my annoyance at how the jerseys were sold, we had a fantastic evening. I've followed NHL since the early 90s but we've only been going to Steelers for a few years - first game in the 18/19 season. It was the first time we'd seen the legends in the flesh and both our kids were absolutely delighted to get the chance.

I don't get the annoyance at the way the shirts were sold. Some sponsored, large numbers raffled and one set of Legends shirts auctioned. The other set were either raffled or sponsored. It gave everyone a chance to get one. I did however make an error in saying the shirts were made by Warrior. When we went on the site to pay for a sponsor shirt, it did say Warrior. They were in fact my by Rhino. They were fabulous and the way the sponsors were recognised with the word - Sponsored by ............ printed between the player name and number was amazing! Really impressed!

Ah, in which case the annoyance is at myself for missing the raffle. We completely missed the raffle. There was only 50:50 on the night, so presume it was through the website.
