Don't know what it looks like on other people's computers but this skyscraper writing could catch on in the puzzle world !
Congratulations to Cardiff. In the end the two best teams reached the final.
Play off final weekend ticket Prices!!

We went to Nottingham for the weekend, but it was the first time since the playoffs moved there that we didn't attend any games.
I've not see any official figure of the crowd, but when I checked the day before I would guess there were still around 3,000 seats available.
The EIHL were a bit unlucky that their two biggest teams didn't make the weekend, but that wouldn't have been such an issue if they'd been much more sensible in the pricing, because far more people would have purchased in advance.
Hopefully next season the pricing is much closer to where it was pre pandemic and concessions are back.

Doom, I read an article and Tony Smith made it clear concessions were not worth it, so I am not so sure. Has he done away with them at your games and season tickets too? You’d think that belief would be held locally too?

Short answer is no.. It would be business suicide in Sheffield to do away with Concessions!
Half the arena are either Disabled old Farts like me (joking Guys) or the youngsters up to the age of 16

I heard something similar mentioned in Nottingham at the weekend, which surprised me because here in Sheffield Tony has done a fabulous job getting the numbers up.
To boost crowd numbers Steelers do plenty of ticket deals, which suits me as someone who pays full price, because a big crowd enhances the overall experience.
Maybe the playoffs are viewed differently because in the past they've sold out, so the thinking was they could make a killing by removing concessions.
Whatever the reason I wouldn't point the figure at Tony, this will have been a league wide decision.

It is a league event so yes all teams had to agree it, but who's idea was it in the first place and when did they then collectivly decide the idea was good? That's the bit most fans can't grasp..

I guess it depends on who you talk to. I was told that Tony had voted against the price increase. I have also seen on 2 separate posts by David Simms that it has been acknowledged that it was a mistake that would be rectified next year. I do hope so, because I won't pay the extortionate costs and if I am really honest, it's the first playoffs we have missed in over 20 years and I can't say I missed it in the slightest!
