An extremely hard challenge away at the SSE Arena, Obviously were hoping to have Latal and Vallerand back in action and Rok Stojanovic is guaranteed to be Starting Netminder.. Can we bounce back and get a result..

A very tough game and one I don’t think we’ll find much success in given our current form and availability issues.
Although if there’s one game that everyone should be fired up for it’s a top of the table clash.

Got my fingers crossed that there is an improvement. I will be following on twitter whilst in New York…..looking forward to watching the Rangers play. I’m sure it’s going to be a totally different experience lol
I've gone for a regulation Giants win here.
I'd love Steelers to prove me wrong and at least split the weekend.
They should automatically be fired up for this game, especially knowing that probably our best performance of the season so far was the 7-1 thrashing of Belfast earlier in the season. Unfortunately I don't think we'll have enough.
4-2 Belfast.

Biggest game / weekend of the season so far!! Huge implications on where the title will be heading!
I've gone for an OT Steelers win I think it will be tight, obviously we need to be much better than recent performances but I have confidence that we will respond well. I think it'll be 4-3 Steelers in the end, with maybe a late goal to tie it.
If everyone is available there are some interesting decisions to be made by Fox.
I think he might go:
Latal-Polak-Vallerand
Dowd-Hodgman-Feldner
Eberle-Armstrong-Mosey
Sointu-ROTATE-Jono
ASD-Jones
Schulze-Davey
Ellerby-Boruta
Rok
Warburton
This is obviously dependent on injuries etc. that we have, Whistle and Traversa obviously more than capable to fill in gaps in the bottom 6 if some aren't available. I think both would be unlucky to miss out with their recent performances. I think there's a case for Traversa on the 4th with his energy over Sointu, however, Sointu is a good net front guy on the PP in particular and could be more of a goal threat in that regard.
The VPL line had been together previously and looked good so wouldn't be surprised to see them reunite.
2nd line would have as much of a goal threat as 1st line, with Dowdy and Feldner who looked dangerous last weekend.
3rd line has a couple hungry to get back amongst the goals (Armstrong & Eberle), Mosey has been unreal all season long, hopefully his speed could help lift the other 2 back into some goal scoring form.
4th line would be Jono (if fit) I think our PK has missed him and Sointu (think he's too much of a poacher to leave out) and one of Polak, Hodgman or Armstrong filling in.

I'm very jealous. Rangers are my NHL team and they are in great form currently with some standout players. Enjoy the game!Sttrinian84 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 8:56 amGot my fingers crossed that there is an improvement. Current form I wouldn't be surprised with a 3 goal loss. However in years gone by the Steelers have turned up when least expected. Is that a Foxy Steeler team trait. I'm not so sure.
I hope that we can find some offensive firepower as we've been sadly lacking. I would be happy to break up the Dowd/Armstrong line. Think they were on for at least 3 of Dundee goals on Saturday.
Hopefully Feldner will continue to go well-looked good since his arrival.

I can't see the Steelers getting anything out of the weekend! unfortunately our performances over the last few weeks don't offer much support for a win against a rapant Giants outfit. However! a gritty backs-against-the -wall performance win in overtime could set up a great final few weeks of the season. Win the first game and the second becomes the bonus, loose the first and it become desparate!
Going against the flow. Giants can grind out wins against teams they should beat. They really struggled against Cardiff and Nottingham and they will struggle with Sheffield. Playing at home, with so much expectation,Belfast could be unsettled and come away with nothing. Pressure is on the Giants to perform, which I honestly believe they don't handle well.
