Polak has been tripping all night at face offs and Frei had just had enough. I think a half fit Hodgman would bring more than him. In fact, I think I could have moved faster and put more in back in the day thank Polak has tonight.

As for his tantrum, I said exactly the same.

We were poor that period bar Jones and Tomato.

Far too many glory passes going astray.

Pretty even game, this is a poor Guildford side.

Officials struggling, clearly aren’t up to the pro level. Great to see us stick one up to Halas after the biased call against Polák.

If we play even half of what we know we can we will win.

Ellerby and Vallerand the standouts.

Ellerby has been very good tonight. The D-Man he described himself as when we signed him.

Have now been advised of the reason ( short staffed ), shame they have P'd off so many volunteers who could have done it.

Good battling win in the end, 2 points on the board.

Vallerand was outstanding all night.

3 abuse of official misconducts for Guildford after the final buzzer.

Top showing by Vally tonight.
Polak has been very good since he came but was dreadful tonight-bar the game winning goal of course.
I was confident we would win in OT even without the pp chance, I mean let's face it, our pp is poor currently. We just have the smooth skating, puck handling players with pace to handle it. I mean Flames started 3v3 with Bolton on D, a good old school physical d man, but Ackered, Craige he is not.

So 2 points, but it was pretty turgid attritional stuff.

Think the right result in the end but we were running out of steam I thought in the 3rd.

Sam Jones had a good game for me too and Sointu looks sharper than he had been.
