I think the current team are good, but for a large part of this season I still had the hang ups about performance developed in previous seasons, when we went behind I’d think oh here we go again.
Now, I’m thinking it’s only two goals we can get that back in the third!
I can’t talk about the old days though as my experience is the last 3 months of an Adams team and then the Thompson years.

I do not mind the comment from David Simms as I would not expect anything else and the same from scuff but I am a bit surprised by the comments from woolster.
He seems to be taking what scuff said at face value and commenting on it without checking whether it is correct or not, normally a level headed person.
If any of them had taken the time to read the Forum they would quickly be able to see that exactly the opposite is true but hey why let the truth get in the way.

Only just seen this thread and was a bit gobsmacked by it. What is the point of trying to continue this vendetta? There are many opinions expressed on here but against the current team? Nonsense!
I’ve never subscribed to the view that the hockey is so much different now than it used to be or that it’s no longer interesting or entertaining to watch. Others have a different view but they’re entitled to it.
Sure there are ups and downs but this season we have been far, far better than the previous 2. I don’t want to tempt fate with even a hint of prediction, so suffice to say I feel more pride and respect for this team than I have for a while.
Some people are so convinced they are right they can’t see or accept another point of view and they don’t care about how their forceful views may affect other people. The best response in my view is to SUMO (shut up and move on).

To be fair to him he took what I said on board and I think he’s a pretty level headed kind of chap, not the sort to just take word for word what the likes of
Scuffam says.

I must admit I wanted to pursue it further but then I was reminded of a famous quote,
“Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”
