Oh my. I've just watched the highlights, if I'm honest, if coach Fox says it was the Blaze who were the better side then who am I to argue.
We obviously have not played as good as we can. But we still win... I'll take those points, everyday and twice on Sunday. Let's not forget however they were slightly fresher and these are the two most potent offensive sides in the league, so this game was certainly going to be the tougher of this weekends pair.
Ferrara is a product of the Steelers and my the kid has blossomed.
The goals scored by both sides showed the class of player on offer at this game. Well done to both sides but we earnt the extra point by the player who's name I have on the back of my replica Jersey. The guy is head and shoulders above in the realms of control, Puck handling and technique. Fox brought in a gem with Lemtyugov. An absolute peach, one I hope we can keep after the season ends. His solo effort to win the game in OT was a individual thing of beauty, in my opinion. Encompassing the embodiment of those attributes stated above. Goal of the season for me.
Come on Steelers..

Having now seen the Lemmy overtime winner, I agree it was a superb finish, but we've been lucky this season to have seen some excellent goals. Not just the goals themselves, but often the passes leading up to the strikes.
Got away with four points when maybe our overall play this weekend didn't deserve it. How good a player is Ferrera turning out to be? Chucked by us so we could keep Kirk for one season. I for one would like him back; Jono can't go on forever, another ten years at the most.

Now if Lemty's goal doesn't win the EIHL play of the week then I think those who decide, need to go to Specsavers....
It was a goal worthy of winning any game at any level, they'd be creaming themselves if it had been in the NHL.

I can see them deliberately passing it over to wind certain people upTealSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 1:22 pmNow if Lemty's goal doesn't win the EIHL play of the week then I think those who decide, need to go to Specsavers....
