He didn't look very happy after that hit along the plexi when it dislodged his helmet, he look concussed, didn't appear for rest of game from what I could see..
This is what angers me when NONE of our players stepped up on that hit.

The days of Vial, Allison & even Fitzy are Long gone.
All the other teams seem to have a player who will react to a hit like that whether legal or not. Maybe its the coach dictating not to?

Is Martin the new Westerling? He wasn't received well when he signed but has proved (IMO) to be very skilful, very fast and can play on PP/PK. Every team needs at least one. Also a bit of a character!
I sincerely hope not.

Latal is an excellent player, very skilled and accomplished skater, fully expect things to happen when he's on the ice, really good fit in the team.

Westerling was not.
I didn't get the hype for Westerling, I called him tge wasp, buzzed around but had little use.
Me either, offered little to nothing, a wasp at a picnic springs to mind.

Nothing against him personally.

I get the feeling it's a dictate from above the coach.

It’s the recruitment that lacks that type of player rather than the players being told not to get involved, not a single player in our roster has that in their locker. It stated regularly in the build up to the season that once again we looked lightweight and soft as a roster and was met with comments that our D has “snarl” and as big and physical as it’s been for years, that doesn’t mean it’s big and physical, just means it’s not as small and soft as our previous rosters but still small and soft compared to others. Whilst Fox is here it’s how it will be it seems, just hope it’s not a decisive factor in either key games or for players having little/no protection, Players to recently step up have been Phillips, dowd and vallerand which highlights the state of things

Couldn’t afford to lose yet more bodies to lengthy penalties last night.

You just know Dean Smith would’ve relished giving us a few majors.

I would have hoped Fox would’ve dictated that before and during the game.

I don’t think much dictating would be needed as pretty much our entire roster avoids getting involved with that side of things rather than having to be told to avoid it/stay away etc
