Not a great game but job done.

More of the boys are starting to look the part now and hopefully now Brust has dressed he'll prove his worth.

Springer is an utter liability.

Springer is a gutless loser, trying to injure/attack non fighting, small, skilled players as opposed to players of a similar ilk.
Him, porn star Dallas and Finnerty are a terrible trio of sulky schoolyard bully types.
It’s stupid because it ends up working against them. I know these antics/incidents can be entertaining to a degree but not like a really competitive tough game.

Finner/Manchester will not win trophys with a team and attitude like that. IMO

Good team game from us and I think Hodgman deserved his mom.

I thought the officiating was good tonight. Not often I think that, but I thought the game was called pretty well.

Mancs lost it after they conceded that first goal. Think they were claiming goaltender interference as Mosey clashed with Ginn just as the shot came in.

Must’ve been 5 mins in Toronto ruling on it and of course Finner want happy.

The hit on Latal was so late and completely unnecessary as Erhart had Latal well covered.

Seems more a case of Storm giving it away but Hodgman seems to be finding some form.
Toronto ?

Yeah me too.

Although it didn't stop many round us moaning and wanting calls for every single bit of contact on one of our players.

Finner persuaded the Refs to review the goal which took ages. I believe the term ‘going to Toronto’ refers to a video goal review as the first one was done there.

I thought that was a fairly scrappy performance last night, although we deserved the win.

I really like what Todd brings to the table and it was good to see Hodgman get off the mark, that should help his confidence.

I want to see more from Oleksuk, although it maybe he's just taking a bit longer to adjust to our league.

The Vallerand/Connolly/DeLuca line isn't quite firing yet. There are moments when it looks like it might click, but then a pass gets misplaced or a puck miscontrolled.

Very good at faceoffs last night, not often I get the chance to say that, so hopefully a sign of things to come.

We'll need to be much better in Coventry tonight if we're going to take the win.

Regards

Agree with all of this Doom.
I think of the three, Deluca is way off the mark of expected level of performance on that line. I wonder whether swapping him out with Latal should be considered.
Hodgman was fantastic last night, and I have to admit was expecting more from Oleksuk but as you say is early doors.
Todd does it all and apart from some sloppiness in the last period(to be fair the whole team was) he had a very strong game.
Brust was excellent before his withdrawal. Churchfield did ok when came in but needs to have a bit more control of his rebounds.
I have to say that I'm amazed conns hasn't really paid the piper more for his rink rattery over the years with us.
As for finnerty and springer. No further words are needed.

I actually think Conn’s cross check after Vallerand scored was almost as bad as Springers interference penalty. He was lucky only to get 2 mins IMO. It was a good few seconds after we scored as well.

In scoring the goal, Valley was slashed and possibly x checked. No penalty called on Storm for that and I think Connelly was reacting to that with his x check. Conns had also taking some off the puck hacking & chopping in the minute or two before the goal. Nowhere near as bad as the Springer incident imo.
