Can have as many brits as you want but only a game day roster of 19. Could do 13&6 for example

Brandon Whistle signs on a two-way deal similar to that of Cole Shudra with his main team being the Leeds Knights

That signing came right out of left field this morning. Bet nobody expected it.

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/14502/daine-todd Final signing is (yet again) small D-man Daine Todd! Appears a good signing on an individual level and played with Ellerby in the DEL league recently, but once again if we face a reasonable level of physicality we aren’t going to have much to give it back……..see what the season brings

The question mark for Todd is regarding his final season, which appears to have been cut short and his numbers are quite poor.

Apart from that he looks very good. He puts up decent points and his +/- are decent in much better league's than ours.

I'm not sure I buy the concerns about our defence being small:

Jones 6'2''
Phillips 6'3''
ASD 6'3''
Ellerby 6'5''

That's two thirds of our defence comfortably over six foot.

Height wise maybe not, weight/size wise we are relatively small with only Ellerby over the 200lb mark on the defence and only Deluca and Hodgman in the forwards! It’s ok having players who can play physical, but once they get a hiding with no come back for doing so that physicality then reduces and the opposition get the upper hand in those type of games.

Have I missed something I don't remember us getting bullied last time. The league is not full of goons anymore and the reffing is less tolerant. The team last time was feisty enough to stand up for itself and I don't see this season being any different

With Ellerby, ASD and Sam Jones I think we have our snarliest, more aggressive d corps for a long time.

And Davey Phillips isn't frightened of mixing it up either.

I'm usually the first to moan about our lack of physicality, but I'd agree this does seem our most snarliest defence for quite a while.

Looking forward to seeing how we match up to the other teams.

It seems to be a concern every year, but the days of teams stacking up with the likes of Schulte, Neickar etc are gone.

At most I would think Teams will go with two power forwards, but most likely one or none.

I have no concerns about the likes of Ellerby being able to handle any physical activity coming their way.
