For sure, he’ll be on big money there but as it’s 2nd tier he’ll also be expected to score 1.5-2 points per game as an import.

Steelers goal! S.Jones 2-3.

Then HUGE triple save Churchfield to deny a certain goal.

Then Blaze hammer the post!

End of 2nd.

Give CHurchfield credit, he stood all by himself most of the period then pulled off a string of saves. To score 3 and have 2 harshly disallowed has to count as a good period though

Better but still not at the levels we’ve shown, playing with better energy. Getting more bodies to the net and tips in front which is how to beat the tournament’s top netminder.

All 3 goals deflected efforts.

What an improvement that was.

Officiating keeping Blaze in the game, with poor calls on the two disallowed efforts.

The first disallowed goal. In particular was very harsh, a case the whistle being blown in anticipation of control without it actually happening. Which can be very annoying as a player to say the least..

Shane Owen has kept them in this game in reality...

Much much better. Simple basic hockey for the goals. Chaotic incompetent refereeing.
Credit where its due an incredible triple save from Churchie.
Others been getting the credit recently but Dowd has been awesome.
Mikyska another strong game but my god he needs to take a shot when it's on rather than always looking for the pass.

Mikyska is/was known for his assists and playmaking before he came, so its no suprise he looks to provide the scoring chance 80% of the time rather than shooting when he really ought too... Its a hard habit to get out of..

Fewer giveaways equals more possession. We got back to whatever we did in the last 2 games.

Blaze did not have the puck under control for the first disallowed goal shouldn’t have been whistled.

Keep it up and fingers crossed.
