5th worst +/- on his team last season and 6th worst the season before.
It is Liiga though, which is a very high standard.
For some context, in 19/20 Nevalainen finished bottom of his team's +/- in Liiga and he turned out to be one of the best defencemen we've had in recent years.
Hopefully we get Nev MK2.

For some extra context on that +/- stat from last year, his team averaged less than 2 goals scored every game (108 in 60 games). Gonna be hard to have a good+/- as a defensive D man when your forwards can't scoreDoom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 12:46 pm5th worst +/- on his team last season and 6th worst the season before.

Roe certainly fits the Fox profile.
Mid 30's from ICEHL with his numbers declining quite rapidly.
Last season he was at the lower end of the +/-, whereas prior to that he was near the top.
Having said that, he's a big body and I'd see him as a decent acquisition to play on one of our top two defensive units.
If Roe is announced tomorrow, I'd be quite happy with this.
Possible Uni course?

Cameron Briere - I really hope not. Straight from NCAA and not particularly good point production there. Looks more like a Fife signing than a Steelers signing.
Cody Kunyk - Good pedigree, but another in his mid 30's with a significant drop in his stats. I can't say I'd be thrilled.
Logan Roe - As above, looks decent.
Crazy signing sounds promising.....we shall see. In the past my idea of a crazy signing doesn't often align with the club's idea. I don't get excited by a player with loads of NHL/KHL/AHL experience, if in recent seasons he's been posting declining stats in lesser leagues. For me it's not what they did 10 years ago, but what they've done in the last 2 to 3 seasons.
