My issue is that almost all of our signings are returnees, hardly any new blood to get excited about yet.
Yes, looking down the list I see what you mean. That had sort of crept up on me - 3F, 1D, 1G being new guys. I’m classing Whistle as a returnee (belated lol).

I would have thought the remaining spots would have to be new guys though, so that would be a further 5 or so new faces.

That being said - I still wonder re Heard…
I think we may have heard something by now....

I would suggest we're ahead of the curve in terms of signings, considering we're only just heading into July.

As I see it, all we still require is:

A British back-up netminder to play when Brine starts.

2 import defencemen (hopefully one big physical body).

2 import centres for the top two lines.

An import spare capable of playing F and D who would be allowed to ice when Brine is in goal.

Belfast are at a similar stage to us in their recruitment, but Notts and Cardiff are a little bit behind with more players to sign.

Regards

I thought Huttula was good in 24/25 and finished top of our +/- with +29.

Last season he struggled and finished near the bottom with +1. I don't think the defensive pairings helped him, but he wasn't on my retain list.

I would still have Dougherty back. He finished +24 and that was after a very slow start.
