I was going through predicted goal scoring stats with my mate on Saturday night.

I'm currently just over 200 for the Steelers and he's at 190. The main difference between us wasn't the players signed, but our estimate of goals still to come (I've gone 57 for the 3 remaining forwards, he's allowed 40).

Currently we both have only 1 player scoring more than 20 goals and that's obviously Balmas.

Typically a team will need to score more than 200 to win the league (Belfast 207 and 208 the last two seasons).

I think to hit the 200 mark we'll need one of the remaining centres to be more Balmas/Watling than Jasper/Collins/Archambault.

I'd be happy with someone who has similar stats to Watling when he first signed, not someone with similar stats to Pu.

Agreed. I think most of us are happy with the returnees.

The team looks fairly solid at the moment, but not yet championship winning IMO.

Apart from the 2 new top 6 wingers, so will have only retained 1/3 of our top 6 from last year? The likely 3 new D (4 if you include Steele)? The massively improved depth with Whistle returning?

Yes, those 2 centres need to be top 6 quality, but we have had a significant turnover
