I feel if we eed to push on from last season ( providing we get a season of course) then we need to be signing this kind of calibre netminder ourselves...

Clan make a triple signing from the University of Ottawa.

Médric Mercier:
Canadian defenceman quite big at 6"3 and some decent weight behind him. Looks to be fairly skilled so could be a bigger 2-way defenceman. Not overly physical.

Quinn O'Brien:
Big 6"3 220lb Canadian centreman who's allegedly a good playmaker & puck protector, maybe similar to Armstrong?

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/1 ... nn-o-brien

Jacob Sweeney:
Another big body, 6"4 defenceman but again not an aggressive physical play but a guy who looks to use his body well and can chip in with some assists.

Maybe wildly wrong but looks like the Clan are going cheap as chips route next season, Unless the other 10/11 Imports are utterly stellar. Wouldn't be impressed if Fox signed any of those 3. a centreman that got 4 points in 27 games would worry the heck out of me if i was a clan fan.

They have a 50/50 success rate here really, guys like Roach from Belfast were excellent and outgrew the EIHL.

Virtually all the big CV players we've signed in recent years have been busts, so turning to more younger and first time pros that are looking to impress might as well be tried. Especially when every team faces budgets cuts regardless of when/how the next season will start. College hockey scoring stats are also even harder to gauge as to how a player might stack up in the EIHL. At this stage, many Clan fans just want a team that works hard every night, and plays some entertaining hockey.

Cardiff re-sign 27 year old Canadian centreman Mike McNamee Image. He was pretty useful on the PP for them last year, good stick skill.

He's formerly of Aalborg Pirates Image, EC Bad Nauheim Image & Syracuse Crunch Image.
