Player signings thread - Sheffield...

Just a thought, but of the players signed to date, based on league play last season the faceoff winning percentages are:
Dowd 50%
Balmas 48%
Tremblay 56%
That's based on league play only.
Of those not signed, Simpson is well over 50% and Whistle well under 50%.
I think we need at least one additional very strong faceoff guy to play centre, especially if Simpson isn't coming back.
I had a quick look to see if I could find anything on Jasper. The only info I found was that he won 3 of 10 last season.

Judging by Fox's comments in the Balmas interview, I think it suggests we are definitely looking for at least one centre still. Probably we've got the final 2 forward spots to fill and not sure whether it's a centre and a winger or 2 centres.
Of course that interview might be pre the signing of Jasper, but might be that he takes a spot on the wing, and we go with Balmas, Dowd, Tremblay + 1 new centre.

I think Sauce still had more to offer and would have been happy to see him come back.
He finished joint 2nd on our +/- last season and would probably have been top had he played over 50 games.
I hope this decision doesn't come back to haunt us.
Good luck to him next season.
