Oh dear, how rude ! We are not just passive observers. Even if some are not, most of us are supporters. We watch actively not passively. Surely that is the whole point of this piece of technology. It thrives on our analysis and debate however ill-informed or biased.

I could say the same about your response to my post. WE LOST, GET OVER IT is exactly what a professional sportsman has to do especially when you are playing another game next day, as for why we lost, well sometimes the other team gets to play good and for a more detailed explanation I'll wait to hear from the coach.

That was about as poor as it gets.
For me Fox gets a free pass this season, but if we put in performances like this next season questions need to be asked.
This game reminded me of all the dark times under the likes of Thompson and Heavey.
We looked a completely disorganised rabble.....weird considering the performance the week before.
Man of the match is the tram driver for getting me away.
Regards
Doom

A bad day at the office.
Coventry were excellent, although I would suggest we made them look much better.
We do appear to be on a downward trend though conceding 12 goals in two games.
While the team deserve all the plaudits when playing well, justified criticism is also just as relevant when not.
This game was as bad as I’ve seen under Fox and was disappointed in what looked like our lack of fight. I hope we get to hear Fox’s post game thoughts. It’s many years since we’ve lost 6-0 at home.

I'm with Bryan.
Losing is sport, however the manner in which it happens is a different manner entirely.
Clueless, disorganised, lack of intensity, character and leadership is not what you expect of the Steelers.
Can't see anything but big changes in the summer.
I'm still not 100% sold on Fox the coach but maybe after last year as Doom says he may get a free pass for now.
I don't see this team being competitive in the playoffs.

I agree, Coventry deserve credit ( and not boos ! ) for an excellent performance. We never seemed to be in with a chance and scoring 6 with no reply at the Arena is an exceptional result for them.
Their goalie is a very good player but we do ,of late , seem to be aiming straight at keepers chests or are unable to lift the puck which results in hitting their pads on the ice.
We do seem tired and after playing 65 games it's not really surprising . There must be a real worry now that we don't make the playoffs, our finishing table position could result in us playing teams like Coventry in the quarter final. We would probably have lost to Manchester , Glasgow or Dundee tonight playing like that.
I hope we don't give away second legs in the quarters like we normally do. 50/50 , shop and chuck a puck going well though.
Tomorrow will tell us more but with such inconsistencies of late, ….will it ??

When we flew Fox over to meet with TS before he signed, we lost 6-1 at home to Glasgow and it was a horror show. We actually were worse tonight.
Absolutely not good enough. There's about 3 players who could say they actually put a shift in (Cormier, Huttula and Dowd if anyone is wondering). Greenfield looks knackered. If De Filippo is fit enough I'd play him for a couple now and try and get Greenfield some rest before playoffs.
Some big changes coming next year. D isn't right - Cormier/Huttula/Tansey/Kelly I'd keep right now but unfortunately Diffley/Sauce have not had good years, and Guimond/Vainio just not been good enough.
Forwards is going to be almost a complete overhaul though. Dowd/Juice are fine. After that it's all debatable. Simpson is fine as a 3C but he just doesn't have enough offense for top 6. Whistle isn't hard enough on pucks and loses out in too many battles. Balmas/Watling have been ok, but not great (albeit I think injuries have played some part in that). Rest have just not been where they need to be this year. Vally/Ciampini as said before it's probably a year too many which in fairness is hard to predict.
Losing Golod really has hit hard. Hopefully he's up for a return next year.

I feel the same. I think I went to a 50/50 competition and an ice hockey match broke out. Never been a real fan of Fox, it's now stale and ready for some new ideas.

The mid periods entertainment is certainly getting stale and a bit boring for me. Other teams have games , competitions etc and indeed we used to. Now it seems we only do things that make money or give away things that cost very little. The chuck a puck wins a bag of Steeler Goodies , I believe , big profit on that then.
The prizes we do see are dwindling as well. Steeler Dan had only 4 tee shirts for his gun tonight and the man who drops the prize foam pucks had only one ! For 8,000 people!
Come on Tony , we can do better.
