Good all round performance and always good to get a shutout any time of the season. Greener definitelty the standout/ consistent player from treble wining team. Would imagine wednesdays game will be a closer scoring game and more feisty, affair,,

Cardiff pushed hard especially in the third but I felt we were up for it from the start.
McWilliam and Busch tried stirring it tonight but got nowhere.
We need to be just as ready and up for it on Wednesday because the second game in Cardiff will be tough.
Belfast losing tonight is a bonus and encouraging. They’ll need to lose some more and if they do it could still get interesting.

Interesting weekend. Last night at the end of the first we were way behind not just on one statistic but all of them. Down on SOG, Down on Faceoffs. Down on the score. We were second to loose pucks and losing battles on the boards. Offside more often. I don’t have a record of all the stats from the Flames game but it was definitely the same.
Tonight against a much better team we were up on SOG, Faceoffs (Unusually) and the score. When I reported on this it wasn’t some eccentric opinion but a matter of fact.. These are pretty stark facts too. Why the difference? OK so it was away last night and long journey. But we should be used to that.. Nothing specially problematic about their rink. Thankfully we turned it round pretty dramatically from about 45 minutes. So a good weekend but a puzzling one.

A tough game between two very tired teams was my view point.
We deserved the win though and it's always good to get a shutout. I thought Whistle had a very good game and the passing play for Watling's goal was excellent.
Keeps our slim hopes of the title alive with still one more game against Belfast and three against Cardiff to play, as well Cardiff and Belfast to play each other four times.
The title is still in Belfast's hands, although Cardiff might argue it's also in theirs with the number of games those two still have left to play against each other.

I think the score suggests an easier game than it actually was. Devils press very hard at times and looked like they had an extra man for a lot of the 3rd. I thought if they got a goal they would go on to get another. It was a huge relief to get our third which effectively dashed their hopes.
