7-0 Steelers win
Fife are leaking goals for fun, however their last and only second regulation win of the season came against us!
A point % of just 0.12% has to make you wonder if Fife will last the season. I hope for the sake of the club and the fans that this is the case. No one wants to see clubs disappear, but they don't look very competitive since their last win.
Think we can give Greenfield the night off for this one and give Huhtamaa the game.
6-1 Steelers.

I hope we respect them and don't use the fact that they are on their knees for individuals to run up their goal tally.
The only game we have ever walked out on was a 13 0 humiliation of the Edinburgh Capitals as they were folding. It was just too much.

Unless he has a niggle I'd stick with Greenfield in goal.
Greenfield is currently in the zone and I'd keep playing him whilst he's hot. If we go with Huhtamaa not only might it fire Fife up, because it looks like we're disrespecting them, but also they've proved they can score against him with one of their few victories being whilst he was in goal.
We really can't afford to risk dropping any points, because Belfast have a much easier 2nd half to their season.
Looking at the remaining fixtures for the 4 teams battling it out for the title:
Steelers - 14 home 14 away
Cardiff - 11 home 15 away
Nottingham - 13 home 15 away
Belfast - 17 home 11 away
It's going to be a struggle to get past Belfast.

Belfast always have this nice run in, I believe they don't have access to their home venue early season ?.Doom wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 9:47 amUnless he has a niggle I'd stick with Greenfield in goal.

I would have liked to have seen Warburton play, but I understand why Fox is going with Huhtamaa. It will give him more game time as he should be more settled, training regularly with the team compared to when he first arrived. May as well send him home if he’s not going to play him as he’ll be a waste of an import slot.
Greenfield might be playing awesome at the moment, but looking forwards there’s a lot of games where he’s going to be playing back to back games so this game is an ideal opportunity to give him the night off against the league’s whipping boys.
Rotating your goalies is very important in a long season and was a big contributor last season I believe helping bringing the grand slam success.
