Just to add, this should also benefit the Steeldogs.

Financially I doubt they can match the spending power of the likes of Leeds or Milton Keynes, but if the carrot of the development path through to the Steelers attracts some of the best young talent to Sheffield, that should help the Steeldogs in terms of having some of the best young British players on their roster.

I think it's also then going to have an effect on finances for the Dogs - as more high quality youngsters join the programme, I think it's likely there will be increasing interest from Steelers fans, and hopefully increased attendance. More a mid term objective I'm sure but I'm hopeful it'll start to kick in to gear relatively quickly.
