Much much more to it, in fact you couldn't get more wrong, he was passionate about the team and fairness to his team mates... And a great deal of his team mates agreed, any perceived issue came about when he stood up for some of them, especially during the time when the team were rotating playing personal and who sat out and why..

I bow to your greater knowledge, I wasn't aware of any of that - still
prefer Desi though.
Just to Clarify, I would be happy with any of the 3 lol especially if we can get one of them (play in a similar mould) next season... I would love Colt King or Desi version two next season
What do you think about Tim Spencer Jay? I really liked King and Desi, don't think that Sestito was with us long enough to say he was the best. I personally think Spencer was up there with the other two. Played in both defence aand offence and could drop them when he needed to.
I likes Tim Spencer, one of our better players I would say. A real shame he dint hand around longer, he was definitely up there with Desbiens and King although I still think King shades it... Sestito was different Gravy, and well above this league, we can only dream of getting players like him... He wanted to come back too, in a player coaching roll...
I've never quite got the Desbiens love in, I can only put it down to the lack of power wingers we've had in recent times.
Don't get me wrong, he was a good player, but not an all time great.
He was a top character who would stick up for his team mates.
A decent fighter, but not up there with the very best.
Put up reasonable points, but nothing more than that.
For me King takes it comfortably on both toughness and point scoring. The only thing that would go against King was his attitude, I suspect he started to believe his own hype, but maybe there was more to it than that.
I'd take King over Desbiens by a considerable margin.
I think overall I'm with Seth's team. The only players I'd disagree with on his roster are:
Bowns as back-up - I don't think you can really include Bowns.
Kent Simpson - On his ISL form I'd have him, but in his EIHL season I think he'd lost some speed, which was his main asset.
