No surprises really but pleased to see Saucerman return.
I remember listening to a fairly recent podcast with Tansey, him & Champers and he stated that he wanted to play in the CHL, so was almost an automatic returnee for us.

Excellent re-signing, massive fan of Juusola last year.

The Steelers/Steeldogs hook up is very exciting and promising. Everything that they have started, the signings, decisions that are being made, point to a rosy future ahead for all concerned. May actually inspire me to watch some Dogs games when opportunity arises.
I don't think there are any guarantees but I'm pretty certain that in the not too distant future Dogs players will develop and be good enough to make the move up to become full time Steelers players. And won't it be even better to have "home grown" players in the line up.

Agreed. There's definitely a lot of potential there, hopefully will be realised by a number of them.paul johnston wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 11:27 amThe Steelers/Steeldogs hook up is very exciting and promising. Hopefully we can also make some headway in to junior development, as to me that's the key to better homegrown players. Imagine them stepping up at 17/18 and being fully ready for NIHL, and then being EIHL ready at 21/22. That's how we get a good GB team, and a lower import limit in the EIHL

Ciampini confirmed. Very happy but not surprised! One of my favourite players to watch in the last couple of years. Makes countless clever plays, IQ off the charts. Great penalty killer as well.
Just Watling, Balmas, Diff and Greenfield to go on my import return wishlist. Not that I'd be unhappy with others as well but that's the 4 I most want
