I thought it was Oldale in goal for Storm.steeler pete wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 9:07 pmCan see why their Nettie is leading the stats. He’s very solid. He’s saved 51 out of 52.
Agree Manchester not v good but they’ll take some beating if the goalie stays fit.
Their second keeper, Weninger is the one leading the stats.
Sorry just checked, they swapped after 53 mins.
I don't recall a goalie change being announced at the game.

Straight after the 5th goal went in, and the crowd behind the nets were chanting your 5-1 down and it's all your fault, but it was announced your right..ekt wrote:I thought it was Oldale in goal for Storm.steeler pete wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 9:07 pmCan see why their Nettie is leading the stats. Stats say otherwise regarding face-offs:Bryan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 11:09 pmI agree with Ginger. Looking back through this thread I think people who say we were a 1 period team are not telling the whole story. The first two periods we were so dominant that they were exhausted by the third and the floodgates opened. Very much a 3 period team. Stats are all massively in our favour SoG 41 to 15 for example. The only downside was a poor faceoff record.. This leads to many lost attacks and must be remedied. It was better in most previous games.

83%-17% in left defensive face off circle,
63%-38% in right defensive face off circle.
100%-0% in all 4 face off dots between the blue lines,
73%-27% in centre face off circle,
70%-30% if left offensive face off circle,
42%-58% in right offensive face off circle.
I agree we were very good in the 3rd period. I know I’m very much in the minority with not particularly enjoying this game. I thought the 1st two periods were dire, poor quality and even less entertaining to watch. Really did look like an exhibition game to me.
I don’t see Manchester troubling the top 3 teams over the course of the season. Just the odd scalp here and there.
I appreciate there are different opinions about this game but my own view is that we played well in that we had most of the possession by far. However, I have to admit to also being a bit frustrated in that we couldn't find the back of the net for virtually 2 periods. Once we did though, the floodgates opened and the final score became a truer reflection of the overall game
