I presume they will get it fixed before the first game but it's a bit amateur hour to not only let it happen but to video the damn thing as well.

Steelers replied to a comment on twitter saying it would be corrected before the season starts. It baffles me how they show all the ice being hand-painted that no one noticed it before it got to this stage!

Serious question: but how does this happen. how can we not spell our own name correctly?
Also its projected on the the ice to then paint, so who the hell made a incorrect logo and what do Sheffield Window centre think of this..
and with the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, wasn't the logo including the font and text just the same as last year..
so why re do it and who did re do it, because whoever painted the ice presumably just painted over the projection!!
this is not only highly embarrassing but costly also, If I was Tony I would be fuming, but remember there is only on Efing (F in) Sheffield Steelers :slaphead:

Ah, I didn't see the missing F in Sheffield :D

I would agree that's very poor. Isn't it volunteers that do the ice? If so it's difficult to be too harsh on them.

I was drawn to the AG part which has already been explained.

I thought the complaint was about the quality of the ice, so you can add me to the list of those who missed the 'F'. :D

Maybe they gave the job to the Steelers Dyslexic Club?

I'm afraid it's very easy to miss an error like this. Our brains have a rather uncanny ability to fill in and 'fix' errors in text without us consciously noticing.

On the ice rink issue I don't understand why we are still relying on volunteers to come and paint each individual thing rather than getting the sheets printed out like most other clubs do these days. Again it feels like we are living in the past a little, the amount of paint we must go through for all the different colours etc can't be cheap so why not use these sheets which can then be placed centrally rather than building up the logos using a projector with a limited height ability which inevitably leads to issues like this. Looking at someone like Solway in the NIHL who recently put their rink timelapse up on social media you can see they use the print out sheets so it can't be too expensive to do?
