No mention of the stress caused by Planet Ice to Steeldogs and their supporters who thought they may not be allowed to have a team.

It is my opinion that Planet Ice have been very heavy handed in all this and have made threats in an attempt to get the backing of other teams

I understand that PI are the major sponsor of the league, why are they also involved in governance to the extent that they are ?. They should have the same rights as any team owner and no more, they should not be running the league as well as there is a huge conflict of interest between their commercial operations and the needs of individual clubs.

It's my understanding that there has been an abuse of power where they have threatened to withdraw ice time for hockey clubs in Planet Ice rinks if said clubs didn't back them. There has also been talk about PI wanting to take over IS, as well as other Sheffield venues

Interesting that the latest in The Star claims that the "hostile takeover" alluded to was not from the Steelers, despite the PI statement conveying that impression, It would not surprise me if the group behind that hostile attempt was operating on behalf of PI all along.
