- Watling Vallerrand
Ciampini. - Neumann
Kiely. Simpson. Dowd
Shudra. Whistle. Juusola

(Tempted to swap Kiely and Juusola so one left, one right shot on each wing of the bottom two lines)

Nevalainen. Petgrave
Tansey. Saucerman
Diffley. Jones
I have it same as you. Think Kielly still starts on 3rd but could be a bit of movement in the bottom 6.

The more I look at it, the more I like that Kielly/Simpson/Dowd line. Has potential to be a really difficult line to play against if the 2 new boys come in and play to potential. Both cited in various interviews as strong 2 way players, and we know what Dowd's work rate and capabilities in both ends are.

Probably gonna be completely wrong now

The only thing I'd change is Saucerman with Diffley and Jones with Tansey, for me that's a better fit.

Let Saucerman and Tansey do their attacking bit with the other two carrying out more defensive duties.

I've just listened to the Fox interview and it does sound like he's think of putting Saucerman with Diffley and Jones with Tansey to start with.

It certainly makes sense to me, but I guess it will depend on how they look in practice together.

What we thinking of Fox’s lines so far in the 2 pre season games? Slightly different to what anyone was thinking.

Plus I know still early but out of the the first two games who would be your healthy scratch for this weekend? if Vally is fit.

I liked the lines on Saturday - I think Kielly and Vally could play one game each again due to injury and arriving later.

Juusola-Watling-Neumann - our 3 fastest forwards probably thought they looked good Saturday particularly Watling and Neumann link up

Ciampini-Nicholls-Vallerand - was a bit disappointing in terms of creating chances I thought but could be worth another shot, 3 skilled players who we need to produce. We already know what we're getting with Ciamp and Vally. Nicholls probably needs a couple to get settled.

Balmas-Allen-Dowd - our best line on Saturday IMO, certainly seemed to have the best instant chemistry, thought Balmas made an instant impact, seems to be a shoot first direct kind of player

Shudra-Simpson-Whistle - looked good on Saturday led by Simpson who played a great game

Didn't see Sunday's game so can't comment but sounded like a messy game that had a few good individual performances but was full of mistakes and fatigue on both sides.

We have so many options that there are so many combos to choose from and I don't think Fox will be afraid to try some more different line ups this weekend, maybe some tweaks as opposed to whole line changes. I think there were some good duos and obviously we know of a few that work from last season.

Personally I would like to see:

Balmas-Watling-Neumann
Ciampini-Allen-Juusola
Vallerand-Nicholls-Dowd
Shudra-Simpson-Whistle

No matter how much I like Neumann I'm not sure he's the first line player.

Balmas. Watling. Nicholls
Ciampini. Allen. Neumann.
Juusola. Simpson. Dowd.
Shudra. Whistle. Kielly.

With Vally's current injury taken into account have left him out, would also like to see what Nicholls can do on the wing for us.

I'm usually fairly clear in my mind what I think the lines will be, but right now I really don't have a clue.

We have plenty of flexibility, which can be good, but could also turn Fox into Mr Tinkerman. He really needs to settle on his lines and give them a run together to build some chemistry.

Does he stick with his Neumann/Allen/Ciampini line, with them already having some chemistry?

Hopefully we'll start to get a clearer picture this weekend.

Who’s gonna be the healthy scratch this weekend then? I’m gonna guess at Kielly as he’s a week behind the rest. I’ve not seen Nicholls do much pre season hope he starts to settle in this weekend…
