Cole Shudra signs...

Happy with this, if not the circumstances behind it.
Cole had a good season with Leeds and knows our club and the league.
He should be a solid 4th line addition who can contribute a reasonable number of points.
Hopefully he's signed as a forward.

I've just read the article on the Steelers website. Some really nice words from Cole, especially regarding Alex Graham.
One thing you know for certain about young Mr Shudra and that is he really wants to be here.
It will be interesting to see how the confidence he must have built playing for Leeds transfers across to the EIHL.

Cole Shudra returns home....

https://www.sheffieldsteelers.co.uk/col ... urns-home/Cole Shudra is returning to the Sheffield Steelers after signing a full time contract with the club earlier this week.
The 24 year winger has already played 129 league, cup and play off games in Orange since making his debut in 2016 when he joined the club under the apprenticeship programme.
Cole is no stranger to Steelers surroundings as he was born into the club with Father “Rocket Ron” being one of the teams original players back in 1991.
The move comes about following the tragic circumstances surrounding the passing of Alex Graham two weeks ago, it’s something Cole is more than aware of “I fully understand the pathway of my return” said Cole “It’s something both Alex and I used to talk about non stop when we were driving in the car to and from the rink, that story though was of us both playing for the Steelers together and being a big part of the clubs future

This is such a difficult spot for anyone to fill, especially someone who knows Alex so well. However, someone has to do it and I'm sure Cole will take on the role working hard and being respectful of the circumstances.
From a purely practical point of view, I think we will have paid well over the odds for Cole's services.

This is an obvious fit assuming the price was right. British defenders of this standard with Coles experience are few and far between. He won't let us down as he has already shown he is a hard worker and a determined player at 4th line level. The circumstances are such a shame but I think he will be playing for Alex as well as himself.

I'm glad Cole is back although the circumstances are terrible. Always felt he has the ability to be a solid pro for the Steelers. He's a big physical player, so if we have him on one wing, another solid physical wing the other side, with Simpson as the centre between them that creates a different fourth line for us that we haven't really had before.
Really pleased to see Cole back at the club. Great that he can play both forward and defence positions too.
Looking forward to seeing how he's matured from his time at Leeds.
At 24 years old, we should see a big difference in him from a few years ago I'm sure.
