I imagine most seasoned fans are aware of this so I don't understand why he held on to it long enough to get a penalty. It's pretty basic stuff for hockey players. I do have to admit to not seeing the incident thoughwakefieldsteelersfan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 26, 2023 10:03 pmIt is correct, a player has to drop his stick immediately once broken.
GAME THREAD: Coventry Blaze v Sheffield Steelers Sunday, 26th February 5:30pm

Looked a close game.
I was however really wound up when in the 2nd period when Vally had 3 Coventry players on him, not one Steelers player came in to stick up for him.
Not the first time that’s happened under Fox. Here’s me thinking the skilled players should be looked after. Silly me.

Can you imagine the likes of Vial, Alisson, King or Fitzgeralf letting that go......smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 11:13 pmLooked a close game.

What's the point in having McNally if not to step up on occasions like this???? Even if he's not on the ice, next shift make a big hit, call someone out....nothing!smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 11:13 pmLooked a close game.

Easy to say it's Fox, we need the bigger guys on our team to play like it, obviously there's a game plan from a coach, which in Fox's case is fast skating hockey but it didn't stop Mitchell when he came into the lineup and it brought him and the team some results. A game plan doesn't stop body checks and engaging physically.
