Admin I hope you will let me highlight this topic as many Steelers fans may be stranded in Belfast!
Flybe airline has announced it has gone into administration & all flights are cancelled. Passengers are asked not to travel to the airport.
Flybe did fly Belfast City to Manchester, Leeds, EastMidlands, Birmingham. They state they cannot provide any help for booked passengers.

Why on earth would they do this over a weekend of all times, surely there was ample time time to to see this coming and fulfill their actual commitments and announce all cancellations from a set date! I say it every time but airlines should not strand customers on their outward leg of a journey and Administrators should honour all return flights as part of the process..

I certainly wouldn’t have taken travel insurance for two days.
Really hope everyone can get back ok and not out of pocket. Usually if you’ve paid by card you can claim back the flight tickets etc. That won’t help in the present situation of course.
Good luck and best wishes to all, hope the Steelers win tonight to make it worth going!

Insurance or compensation is nice after the event, the fact that fans are stranded in Belfast and the company hasn't arranged for other airlines to bring them back stinks. I know there is/was a scheme for when holiday companies went bust but not sure about airlines.
