Ostlund is unavailable due to injury.
Potential weakness for us is the new d pairing of Mose.and Piche. I saw in the Dundee highlights that Sanche I think was able to cut through between them far too easily in that game, and they were on the ice for two goals in the previous game. Hopefully they will have worked out their kinks as a d pairing.

I think Ostlund will get his chance once he gets back fit again. Whilst I hope we see him feature he does have quite a bit of catching up to do on Greenfield I think. Ostlund came in by his own admission a little rusty as he’d not played many games last season. If he didn’t get injured I would have thought he would be challenging for the number 1 spot with Greenfield.Spoony wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 3:06 pmLooking back at my own post I actually agree with you. I wasn't paying full attention to what it was. At this moment we need the best blokes between the pipes (COME BACK OSTLUND) and use the two with less experience in CC. I have no idea why I wrote that bit, I'm going to rescind that previous comment and say I want Ostlund back.I wouldn’t play Warburton in a league game unless we had no choice. CC definitely, but I think we need to win as many league games as possible. It’s a risk with Warburton playing I think.
And linking back to Ostlund, I think it's pretty critical of Fox using Greenfield for all but one game as no. 1, Ostlund is actually pretty good and bearing in mind we have him next season guaranteed, we need to use him more often because he could be the primary one next year.

I would say though that I think we’ve signed an excellent goalie in Greenfield and if he continues at the level he his now, I have no issues with him being our out and out number this season.
Hopefully when Ostlund is back fit, we have a choice of two very good goalies. I do think we’ll need both playing as the season progresses.
I thought that was very good back to front and 3 - 0 certainly didn't flatter us.
We out skated Glasgow all 3 periods and are starting to look a very good team.
Allen line was the best, mainly due to him being a faceoff monster.
The Whistle line was very good and Graham had another good game.
The only forward line I didn't really like was the Pitule line. I know this won't be popular, but if Jones is fit for Sunday I'd put Mosey on the Pitule line and sit Connolly.
Defensively we were solid and gave few grade A chances to the Clan.

Really pleased with the shutout win.
Glasgow games can be tricky in their barn, but they played the night before, so I didn't expect a loss to be honest.
Still I would like the winning habit to continue. We don't really have another tough test until Coventry & Cardiff away in Oct.

Can't argue with a shutout road win can you. Allen is a proper solid warrior and his faceoff success has been very welcome.Doom wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 10:05 pmI thought that was very good back to front and 3 - 0 certainly didn't flatter us.

Thats a good shout about Connolly and Mosey, the problem is too many are romantic about personality and previous form rather than seeing the current picture.
I'm excited to see what happens with this team, nice to see us have finally found a nettie who looks like he can steal a few wins for us.
Haha. Nottingham look good on paper, but currently I don’t see them as a huge test for us in this moment in time. Something isn’t quite right there.Brian wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 8:35 amNow you've gone and upset them in Nottingham !smbmetal wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 8:29 amReally pleased with the shutout win.

Whilst it’s always nice to beat our rivals which I don’t think have been real rivals for years, for the CC game I would play our back up goalie, give Connolly’s knee a rest and get some minutes for the likes of Whistle, Graham & Shudra if available.

Could anyone point me in the directions of where I can look at the stats for Glasgow game please? Flashscores only shows who scored.
